editable field conditional formatting

It was my first time using AH. I tried adding a new customer. I wanted to copy-paste the information from an email into the "Create Client" form. The Phone number field would not accept my input. After talking with chat, I learned I had to add "+1" prior to the phone number. I also could not add the client's extension. This was incredibly frustrating for a few reasons:

1. It should be as simple as copy-paste. You should not tell me how to format my data.
2. There was no instruction requiring to enter country code.
3. the combination #1 and #2 make your platform harder to use.

My proposed solution:
Allow users to configure the fields, including conditional formatting. this feature could be extended to ALL fields in ALL Forms and Calculators.
