TASK BUGS: Client Review Setting Not Being Respected for Task Notifications and Visibility

Description:
Several issues are occurring with the “Client Review” setting under Tasks. Even when “Client Review” is set to OFF, clients are still receiving notifications and can access task details they shouldn’t be able to view.

Symptoms:

  1. Clients receive “Task Updated” email notifications even though “Client Review” is OFF. They should not receive any task-related emails.

  2. Clients who receive these emails (even unintentionally) can click “View Task” and access full task details — they should not have access at all when “Client Review” is OFF.

  3. The “Task Updated” email body displays broken formatting with visible HTML code (e.g., <h2 style="text-align: left;"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Arial"...).

  4. The “Task Updated” email template does not appear on the Email Template page under Workspace Config, so it cannot be customized or edited like other templates.

  5. When “Client Review” is OFF for all tasks in an order, the client’s order view shows the message:
“No Task has been added - Sit back and relax as our dedicated Team takes care of your Tasks…”
This is misleading, as it implies work hasn’t started. It would be clearer to display “Order in progress” — ideally, the client should not be able to click on the order at all to access the task section when all tasks have “Client Review” turned off.

Suggested Fix:
Ensure that when “Client Review” is OFF:

  • No task-related emails or notifications are sent to the client.

  • Clients cannot view task details, even through direct links.

  • Add the “Task Updated” email to the Email Template page in Workspace Config, allowing admins to customize or remove the task description if desired.

  • When all tasks in an order have “Client Review” OFF, the client should not be able to click on the order to reach the task section.
